Well, this is an odd one to start with, but I guess it pays to stay on your toes. I had been scheduled to play second trumpet on some simple Mozart, but I received a call the day before rehearsals began to ask if I could fill in for the soloist for the rehearsals. A little stressful considering that I hadn't touched my pic in a couple of months, but I think it went well considering the circumstances. Always fun to play great music with good people.
